It was a busy visit to the University of Utah for Kevin Roberts, the Deputy Director of the Office of Education for USAID in Pakistan. Kevin provided the keynote address for the university’s World Water Day, and also participated in a series of meetings with the USPCAS-W’s executive committee and team members. Kevin’s visit provided an opportunity for the Center to articulate its achievements over the last two years, as well as looking forward to the future of the project. The visit also allowed the Center an opportunity to tap into Kevin’s vast experience working in international education and development, including postings in Honduras, Ecuador, Malawi, and Brazil. Kevin also had the opportunity to meet with the current cohort of exchange visitors and engage with them around the exchange experience, as well as the program at MUET.
Kevin’s visit also coincided with International Pakistan Day, which was commemorated with a breakfast celebration at the Alta Club in Salt Lake City, and attended by a delegation of some of Salt Lake’s prominent Pakistani business people and leaders, highlighting the existing and potential future links between Utah and Pakistan.
